Exciting opportunity with a major logistics client in Abbotsford! We are looking for a Transport Allocator for an ASAP start.

Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)
Full-time Hours or extended hours (with flexibility preferred)

Here are the key tasks and duties for the role:

  • Coordinate day-to-day scheduling and routing for both company and subcontractor fleets.

  • Plan work hours and rosters to ensure adequate manning and equipment resources.

  • Manage schedules to ensure all customer-specified delivery times are met.

  • Execute all logistics in line with company policies, safety standards, and legislative obligations.

  • Maintain cooperative relationships with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers.

  • Ensure maximum vehicle payloads are achieved to maintain commercial returns.

  • Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports accurately and on time.

  • Record non-conformances and ensure all delivery issues are resolved promptly.

  • Analyse performance indicators, specifically focusing on DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time).

  • Update Transport Management Systems, including geocoding and reviewing driver run sheets.

  • Respond to all customer and vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Identify and facilitate opportunities to improve delivery performance.

  • Ensure labor and transport plans align with company financial and DPO requirements.

  • Manage the redelivery process in conjunction with site operations.

  • Inform management of potential delivery issues immediately after daily planning.
